About Vedic Katha
Vedic Katha is a bilingual (English and हिंदी) library of Hindu mythology, scripture, deities and devotion. It is built as a relational library: every deity, character, story, place, aarti and festival is a connected entity, and any page assembles itself from those connections, so you can start anywhere and keep travelling.
Our aim is to be reverent and accurate, modern and calm — a place to understand a character or story in depth, to read aartis and scripture during pooja, and to wander the vast web of Hindu tradition without ever hitting a dead end.
How this site is made
Each piece of content has one canonical home and is written once; everywhere else it appears as a card that links back. Content is drawn from named, citable sources, with scripture, Purana, regional tradition and popular belief clearly distinguished. Where a fact is uncertain or a translation is pending, we leave it marked rather than inventing it.
