Who was Aja?
Aja is named in Vasishtha's lineage at Rama's wedding as the king who came before Dasharatha. Kalidasa's Raghuvamsha tells his story in full: his marriage to the princess Indumati, her sudden death and Aja's grief, which led him to give up his life when Dasharatha came of age.
