Atikaya is a giant son of Ravana by Dhanyamalini, armoured by Brahma's boon. Lakshmana kills him with the Brahmastra on the advice of the wind god.
Who was Atikaya?
Atikaya rides out in a magnificent chariot, and the vanaras flee, thinking Kumbhakarna has returned. He scorns lesser fighters and challenges Lakshmana.
Their arrows have no effect on each other until Vayu whispers to Lakshmana that Atikaya's armour can be pierced only by the Brahmastra. Lakshmana uses it and strikes off his head.
In the Valmiki Ramayana
Atikaya appears in 1 sargas across 1 Kandas.
