Sachi is the queen of heaven and the wife of Indra. In the Uttara Kanda she appears during Ravana's war on the gods.

Sachi, also called Indrani, is honoured as the chief of the goddesses. In the Ramayana, Valmiki often compares the noble queens, including Sita, to Sachi beside Indra, and she is present in Indra's heaven when Ravana's armies attack it.
