Who was Dundubhi?

Proud of his strength, Dundubhi challenges the ocean and the Himalaya, which send him to Vali. Vali kills him and hurls the carcass a yojana, spattering the hermitage of Matanga with blood. Matanga curses Vali never to enter Rishyamukha.

To test Rama's strength, Sugriva shows him the dry bones, and Rama sends them flying ten yojanas with a flick of his toe.
