What is Karma?

Karma is the law of action and consequence: every deed, word and intention bears fruit, shaping one’s present and future lives. It is not blind fate but cause and effect — the self reaps what it sows, across this life and the next.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches karma yoga, the path of acting rightly while renouncing attachment to the results, so that action itself becomes a means of liberation rather than bondage.
